What we do

Tree services in Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland.

Nine jobs. Each one has its own page, because a stump and an arborist report are two different problems on two different days — and the answer to “what will it cost” is different for each.

At a glance

What each job usually costs.

A table extracts cleanly, which matters when somebody asks an assistant “how much is stump grinding in the Comox Valley” instead of opening a browser.

Illustrative price bands by service. Sample figures on a demonstration site.
ServiceFromTypical band
Tree removal$650Most residential removals land between $650 and $3,200.
Tree pruning$380Most pruning visits land between $380 and $1,400.
Stump grinding$180Most stumps land between $180 and $700.
Emergency and storm workQuoted on siteStorm work is quoted on site — the price depends on what is holding the tree up.
Arborist reports$450Most single-property reports land between $450 and $1,100.
Danger tree assessment$250Most assessments land between $250 and $600.
Hedge trimming$220Most hedges land between $220 and $900 depending on run and height.
Lot clearingQuoted on siteQuoted per lot after a walk-over — area, slope and access drive the number.
Tree health care$250A diagnostic visit starts at $250 and comes off the price of any work booked.

Two services carry no starting figure on purpose. Storm work depends entirely on what is holding the tree up when we arrive, and lot clearing depends on area, slope and access — a number printed against either would be a guess, and Highbough Tree Care would rather show a blank than a wrong one.

Not sure which of these you need?

Describe the tree and we will tell you — including when the answer is that it does not need anything doing to it.

Quotes are free, and we come and look at the tree before we price it.
